2-year fixed-term contract
Responsibilities:
- Develop social content and digital strategy for CHOICE magazine with a purpose to grow and sustain penetration across various platforms, including the Council’s official website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Douyin and Xiaohongshu
- Draft, edit and proofread social posts, digital campaigns, short articles and communication materials; manage the monthly content calendar, ensuring alignment with issue launches, brand campaigns and strategic priorities
- Work closely with in-house designers to generate engaging content tailored for respective social media platforms, ensuring it resonates with our audience
- Edit existing long-form content and videos into platform-native social assets; depends on complexity, either accomplish the task independently or in collaboration with in-house video editors
- Keep abreast of the latest social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms; use data and insights to iterate on content formats and posting times to maximise engagement and growth
- Handle other ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Multi‑media or a related discipline, with at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates holding an Associate Degree or Higher Diploma with at least four years of relevant experience may also be considered
- Experience gained in public sector or agencies is preferred
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, along with a strong grasp of the best practices for each platform
- Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English; able to tailor tone and style to fit different social platforms, and to quickly summarise detailed information into clear, bite-sized digital content
- Strong time management skills, capable of prioritising tasks and delivering projects on time with a high standard of quality
- Knowledge in graphic design and video production tools with hands-on experience is definitely an advantage
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organised; a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in working with stakeholders
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of the Division and the performance of the appointee.
