Senior Manager, Consumer Education (Ref. SM-CE)
Consumer Education, Planning and Stakeholder Engagement Division
2-year fixed-term contract
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development and implementation of high-impact consumer education strategies, training and learning programmes, community talks and citywide initiatives targeting teenage students and/or senior citizens
- Analyse consumer trends, emerging issues and behavioural insights among youth and senior consumers to identify strategic opportunities and programme priorities
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with secondary schools, tertiary institutions, elderly service organisations, government departments, public bodies, professional associations and community partners to expand the Council’s consumer education reach and impact
- Supervise programme budgets, procurement processes, resource allocation, promotion strategies and programme evaluation to ensure effective utilisation of resources and achievement of desired outcomes
- Prepare strategic papers, project proposals, funding applications, management reports and committee papers for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist the Division Head in managing divisional operations and administration, and deputise as required
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned
- Outdoor work may be required
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Business Administration, Social Science or related disciplines
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in youth and/or seniors' training, programme development, stakeholder engagement and project management, of which at least 3 years should be at a supervisory or managerial level
- Proven track record in leading the development and implementation of successful public education programmes, community engagement initiatives and/or large-scale events
- Strong network with Hong Kong secondary schools, tertiary institutions, elderly service organisations, NGOs, government departments and/or public bodies would be an advantage
- Strong leadership, analytical, strategic planning, communication, presentation, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Attaining a Level 5 or above in Chinese or English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent is preferable
- Experience in database management and/or website content management would be an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of the Division and the performance of the appointee.
