Project Manager, Events (Ref. PME-PMIAD)
Public, Mainland and International Affairs Division
1-year contract
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and implement the launch event of the CHOICE mobile app, manage event logistics end-to-end, from concept development and vendor management to onsite execution and post-event reporting
- Lead publicity efforts for the CHOICE app, including planning promotional activities, preparing social media and multimedia content, and coordinating media related arrangements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of event and publicity assets that align with the Council’s standards
- Prepare communication materials such as event scripts, talking points, social media posts, press materials and other promotional content
- Handle budgets, timelines and compliance requirements, ensuring the deliverables meet regulatory and the Council’s standards
- Act as the primary contact point for the launch event, ensuring seamless communication with various stakeholders such as government officials, media, partners and guests
- Support other Council events and publicity activities when required
Requirements:
- Degree holder or above, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Event Management or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of solid, hands-on experience in organising events end to end, including concept development, logistics coordination, vendor management and execution, preferably gained in sizable organisations or agencies
- Relevant experience in marketing, publicity, social media or public relations to support event promotion and communication needs
- Strong project management, communication and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 1-year contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
