The CHOICE Magazine 40th Anniversary Launching Ceremony was held on 19 July, 2016 during which a series of commemorative events were kicked off.
Mr. Gregory SO Kam-leung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development and Dr. KAN Tai-keung, SBS, BBS, World Renowned Designer and Artist officiated at the ceremony.
In his speech, Mr. Gregory SO Kam-leung, GBS, JP hoped that the Council would continue present the numerous information available in the market via CHOICE Magazine in a clear and concise way for consumer’s easy reference. He also wished the Council success in its endeavor in disseminating information to a broader audience through a wider variety of channels.
Dr. KAN Tai-keung, SBS, BBS shared his inspiration behind the CHOICE Magazine logo design. He commended that the CHOICE Magazine has continuously evolved in terms of its contents and layout to cater to the reading habits and preferences of consumers. He wished the CHOICE Magazine to uphold its mission in innovation and improvement, and further promote consumer interests in Hong Kong.
The past and achievements of the CHOICE Magazine was reviewed in the ceremony. During his closing speech, Professor Wong Yuk-shan, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Consumer Council, also unveiled its future development direction with the attending guests.
