The Consumer Council reminds the public to remain vigilant when receiving automated phone calls allegedly from the “Hong Kong Consumer Council”, claiming that the receiver’s “consumption record is abnormal” and should contact a customer service representative for further details by transferring the call.
The Council would like to clarify firmly that these calls are not made by our staff or system. The Council reminds the public to avoid disclosing any personal information when receiving any suspicious calls, messages, or emails claiming to be from employees of the Council.
