2-year fixed-term contract

 

Responsibilities:

  • To plan, organise and conduct research, including survey projects, relating to products and services, quality of services and consumer opinion
  • To verify survey/ research results to ensure quality assurance and report accuracy before CHOICE publication
  • To write paper and research reports in both English and Chinese and articles for the Council's website and CHOICE magazine
  • To liaise with product suppliers and service providers, government departments, trade associations and professional bodies in regard to survey and research projects
  • To handle consumers’ technical inquiry related to the responsible work
  • To take part in the media interviews whenever required

 

Requirements:

  • A recognised university degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with statistics as one of the subjects taken
  • Strong background in research methodologies and practical experiences in quantitative methods, data collection, statistical compilation and analyses
  • At least 2 years of post-graduation experiences at an appropriate level of responsibility in statistics-related work; managing research projects or survey projects; preferably experience in a consumer-focused organisation
  • Strong in quality management
  • Self-motivated with thorough and accurate attention to detail
  • Work well within tight time limits
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in writing English and Chinese research reports

 

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.  Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of the Division and the performance of the appointee.
