The Consumer Council was established in 1974, from the 70s when price hikes and product safety were greatly concerned, to modern days where privacy and sustainability become principles of consumption. In various eras, the Consumer Council has accompanied consumers in Hong Kong as their voices and safeguard of their consumer rights. Commemorating its 40th Anniversary of founding last year, a special highlight is produced at our latest Annual Report -- “Landmark Events of the Council in 40 Years”.
