Universal Cars Limited (UCL), sole distributor of Mitsubishi motor vehicles in Hong Kong and Macau, made an announcement on 8 June 2004 to recall 3 models with a total of 72 units of Mitsubishi passenger cars. Details are as follow:

UCL stated that they are compiling a list of up-to-date owners of vehicles affected by this incident. Affected owners will be contacted individually so that the necessary inspection and/or rectification relevant to the recall actions could be carried out expeditiously.
