Assistant Project Manager, Copywriting (Ref. APMC-PMIAD)
Public, Mainland and International Affairs Division
1-year contract
Responsibilities:
- Be part of the project team for the publicity and promotions of CHOICE online magazine and the new mobile app by creating compelling and engaging content across the Council’s various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Craft exceptional and engaging video scripts for broadcast across different social media platforms
- Assist in formulating social media strategies, marketing materials and campaign proposals by working closely with inhouse graphic designers and video producers to generate creative idea and content
- Liaise with internal subject officers to ensure content accuracy as well as internal production team to ensure alignment of deliverables with campaign objectives
- Prepare basic project documentation such as content schedules, production timelines and status updates for internal reporting
Requirements:
- A recognised university degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, Chinese Language or related discipline with three years of experience in a sizable organisations, production houses or agencies
- Exceptional copywriting skills with versatility across all major content formats, spanning long‑form narratives to punchy short‑form copy for both online and offline channels
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and evolving trends in digital content
- Strong track record of producing high-quality, clear and impactful video scripts
- Experience in content creation, account management and campaign execution in Douyin and Xiaohongshu is an advantage
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organised
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritiseand handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and MS Office
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on a 1-year contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
