  • 2023.08.03

To foster public awareness of various consumer issues, the public voting for 2 award categories, “News Photography Award” and “Tertiary Student Journalism Award,” continues to be an integral part of the Consumer Rights Reporting Awards (CRRA) organised by the Consumer Council. Members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite work among the 5 shortlisted entries in each category. The results of the public voting together with the scores by the adjudication panel will be combined to determine the final awardees of the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards of these 2 categories.

The 4-week public voting period officially starts today (3 August). Members of the public can cast votes for their favourite works through the online voting platform. To encourage public participation, eligible voters will be automatically entered into a lucky draw with the chance to win attractive prizes, including a first prize of a HK$5,000 gift card (1 winner), second prizes of a HK$500 gift card each (2 winners) and third prizes of a HK$200 gift card each (20 winners).

The lucky draw winners will be randomly selected by computer on 7 September 2023 and the result will be announced in Hong Kong Economic Journal and The Standard on 14 September 2023. Winners will be notified individually.
