- Eight projectors, priced from $8,000 to $25,000, were tested and assessed for video quality, convenience of use, environmental and safety performance and versatility. Video quality tests comprised panel viewing and laboratory testing: photos, graphics, video and animation were viewed by expert and layman, while brightness, contrast, image distortion and brightness distribution measured and calculated in the laboratory environment. In general, those models with claim of HDTV Ready (High Definition TV) provided better video quality.
- Internet auction is sometimes fraught with risks. Three cases of consumer complaints were highlighted, with useful advice on precautions to take when buying on internet auction.
