Reason For Issuing Alert | Based on the announcement from the USDA of the US, the above-mentioned products are being recalled as they might have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. |
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety | Upon learning of the incident, the CFS immediately follow-up the case. A preliminary investigation found that a vendor, City Super Limited, had sold one of the affected products (pack size: 12oz; use-by date: July 26, 2025). The vendor concerned has stopped sales, removed from shelves the affected product, and has initiated a recall according to the CFS's instructions. The CFS will alert the trade to the incident, and continue to follow up and take appropriate action. An investigation is ongoing. |
Advice to the Trade | The trade should stop using or selling the product concerned immediately if they possess it. |
Advice to Consumers | Not to consume the affected product if they have bought any. |
