The glass carafe can fall out of the metal frame and plastic base of the coffee press and break or shatter, posing laceration and burn hazards to consumers. Consumers should stop using the recalled coffee presses immediately and return them to any Starbucks store in Hong Kong or contact Bodum online or through its representative listed below for a full refund.

Incidents/Injuries
According to Bodum, it has received no reports of incidents or injury in Hong Kong. It has received reports from other countries of the glass carafes breaking or shattering when the coffee press' plastic base separated from the metal frame. There have been a few reports of minor lacerations or burns in other countries.
