FEMTON clamp spot light (#60067323) is being recalled by IKEA for risk of overheating. Tests have shown a variation of the stiffness of the flexible stem meaning that some lamps could be positioned with the bulb too close to a surface area for example a wall, shelf or table top which could result in overheating. This is not acceptable according to the standard.
The clamp spot light FEMTON concerned is produced in China and has been sold since 2004 in Europe, Asia and Australia. It is marked with a five digit supplier no (17796), IKEA logo and country of manufacturer.
