A recent safety test by the department revealed that the MOMAX mobile phone charger, model No MXTCRS1-MOV3, might have an electricity leakage problem and users risked getting an electric shock.
The supplier, NewStar Communication Co Ltd, has taken the initiative to recall the mobile phone charger. A recall notice was posted in a newspaper today.
According to the supplier, the mobile phone chargers were supplied to the local market between June and July last year.
