Schneider Electric (Hong Kong) Ltd. recently conducted a voluntary inspection programme for its Merlin Gerin C60H- and Square D QOE- residual current circuit breakers with overload protection (RCBO) which were supplied from January to December 2004. It was found that some of these RCBOs may not trip on earth leakage fault due to the non-conforming specification of a component. This may pose a risk of electric shock hazard to users. Members of the public who have installed these RCBOs are advised to contact the above local supplier immediately to arrange for inspection. The supplier will provide free replacement for defective RCBOs.
