Power Toothbrushes Recalled Locally

  • 2004.11.01

In view of the announcement by a U.S. tooth brush manufacturing company (Gillete) to recall its product (Oral-B CrossAction Power and PowerMAX Toothbrushes and refills) following three incidents overseas in which the head of the tooth brush unlatched and caught in the throat of the users, a spokesman for the Department of Health said the department has been in contact with the product's agent in Hong Kong and was given to understand that the product has been recalled from the retailers locally. More information on the recall can be obtained from the company's website at http://www.gillette.com

"Members of the public who bought this type of tooth brush should for the time being stop using the product and call the public enquiry hotline of Gillette Hong Kong Ltd during office hours on 2539 9694 for further information," he said.
