The Customs & Excise Department has recently served a Recall Notice on an importer cum wholesaler under the Toys and Children's Products Safety Ordinance to recall a toy "Xylodrum" (Brand Name: ambi toys, Model No. E0391), which failed to meet the prescribed safety standards for toys.
The mallet contained in the Xylodrum protruded beyond the base of the specified template and posed a choking hazard to children under three years of age. The toy has been assessed to have high risk of causing a serious injury.

Those who have the toy should return it to the wholesaler from 9 June to 8 August 2002 or call the company at 2108 0388 for details.
