Job Purposes:

Responsible for maintaining the Consumer Council’s visual brand by creating multimedia design solutions that have a high visual impact for the Council’s CHOICE magazine, video, and a variety of other projects. 


  1. A recognised degree or qualification in Multimedia design / video production or related disciplines
  2. At least 7 years relevant experience in production of creative video, from video shooting, editing, image-retouching, to final production with proven experience in motion graphics
  3. Excellent skills in camera operation, lighting setups, general videography work and audio recordings
  4. Exceptional visual communication skills to present ideas and information (data and text) accurately and innovatively in a multimedia context
  5. Photography skills preferred while solid knowledge on social media landscape will be an advantage
  6. Details-orientation with strong project management and execution skills to meet limited budget and tight deadlines
  7. Excellent communication, problem solving and multitasking skills
  8. Proficient in digital media software tools, including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suites: Premiere, After Effects, Animate, Photoshop and Illustrator; knowledge in 3D animation will be an advantage.


  1. Lead a small video team and be responsible for pre-production, production and post-production of high impact digital contents for the Council's publications and activities
  • To direct and manage video projects from start to finish
  • To manage setting up lights, cameras and sound equipment for live video and photo shoots as needed
  • To review footage, make editorial recommendation in audio and colour, and final editing
  1. Take lead in concept development, time control and resources management for the quality production of video contents for CHOICE topics while collaborating with graphic design team for consistent creative / design concepts across both online and offline platforms
  2. Support marketing and subscription team in development and implementation of marketing collateral for online platforms
  3. Maintain an effective archive system for digital contents in accordance with the Council's Records Management Policy.

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on 3-year fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
