3-year probationary contract

 

Requirements:

  1. Have Level 2 or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma or Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or have Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
  2. At least 2 years’ work experience in handling public enquiries.  Hotline experience would be an advantage;
  3. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
  4. Familiar with major computer software including Word and Excel;
  5. Good knowledge of the Hong Kong community, the consumer market and consumer related issues;
  6. Good communication and customer service skills; and
  7. Mature, service-oriented, good telephone manner and be a team player
     

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle consumer enquiries and complaints;
  2. Compile complaint summary / report;
  3. Render advice to the public on consumer issues and collect feedback on improvements to consumer protection work of the Council;
  4. Assist to liaise and coordinate with government departments or external organizations for case referral, problem resolution and promotion of consumer protection;
  5. Monitor trends of complaints and assist to compile statistics / reports upon requested; and
  6. Support the Division’s work as assigned

 

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on 3-year probationary contract.  Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
