電視機、洗衣機、雪櫃、冷氣機、抽濕機俱為家中常用的電器，消費者都希望揀選價格相宜、功能齊備及耐用的產品。可是，不同品牌產品的耐用程度是較難掌握的資料，有些消費者會向親友查詢個別品牌的口碑，又或到網上討論區查看個別產品的評價，卻未必反映具體情況。 因此，本會於今年3月至4月進行用戶意見調查，收集消費者所使用的電器的毛病率、機齡少於5年的故障率、對產品的滿意度、會否再次購買該品牌產品的回覆

座地風扇送風表現高下立見
天氣已熱起來，在盛夏來臨之前，最適合使用電風扇，為家居締造舒適環境。電風扇不單耗電低，保養得宜亦頗耐用，還可配合冷氣機，把冷氣帶到不同角落，節省電力。消委會與機電署合作測試14款座地搖頭扇的安全和效能，售價約由$269至$2,380，扇葉直徑分別由12至16吋，6款採用較新穎的直流電摩打，另外8款是傳統交流電摩打。結果發現1款潛在安全風險，樣本的送風量相差達2倍，能源效益則以直流樣本表現較好。
