Termination of Daily Wet Market Survey
- Since 2008, the Council has launched a series of four initiatives on price surveillance of food and daily necessities in the retail market across Hong Kong:
Weekly Price Survey
Daily Wet Market Survey
Monthly Wet Market Price Index
Online Supermarket Price Watch
- For better allocation of resources, the Council will stop carrying out the Daily Wet Market Survey from 10 November. The Monthly Wet Market Price Index released in mid-November will be the last issue. The Weekly Price Survey, which monitors the prices of a basket of prepackaged food and household/personal care products in different districts, will include fresh food from wet markets. The number of items surveyed will also be increased.
