Termination of Daily Wet Market Survey
  1. Since 2008, the Council has launched a series of four initiatives on price surveillance of food and daily necessities in the retail market across Hong Kong:

    Weekly Price Survey
    Daily Wet Market Survey
    Monthly Wet Market Price Index
    Online Supermarket Price Watch

  2. For better allocation of resources, the Council will stop carrying out the Daily Wet Market Survey from 10 November. The Monthly Wet Market Price Index released in mid-November will be the last issue. The Weekly Price Survey, which monitors the prices of a basket of prepackaged food and household/personal care products in different districts, will include fresh food from wet markets. The number of items surveyed will also be increased.
